Regulus Commences 15,000 Metre Drill Program on Rio Grande

WATERDOWN, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 25, 2011) - Regulus Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:REG) ("Regulus), is pleased to announce that drilling is now underway on the company's 50%-owned Rio Grande copper-gold-silver project in Salta Province, Argentina after an unusually intense winter storm in the Puna during the mobilization caused some delays. The drill program is planned for a total of 15,000 m utilizing two diamond drills. The Rio Grande project is a 50/50 joint venture between Regulus and Pachamama Resources Inc. ("Pachamama", PMA TSX.V) with Regulus acting as the operator.

Over the last two months, the company has made significant progress in preparing the Rio Grande project for its first drill program since 2008 as well as making advancements towards obtaining its first 43-101 compliant resource estimate on the project. The following programs are now completed or are underway;

* Quantec Titan 24 geophysical IP and resistivity survey
o Completed 11 lines – Phase I report evaluation pending – 3D modelling underway
* RDI and SGS metallurgical test work
o Expecting final results from both labs in August
* Wardrop Engineering 43-101 compliant resource estimate
o Well on its way for completion in August (based on previous drilling only)
* 15,000 metre Boart Longyear diamond drilling program
o Both drills are now on site with the first drill operating

The 15,000 metre diamond drilling program will consist of 1) infill and extension drilling in the northern area of the Sofia Zone, 2) extension drilling to the west of the existing drilling in the North Zone, 3) infill and extension drilling in the # 7 Zone, 4) initial testing of the underexplored southwest portion of the Rio Grande ring structure, 5) deep drilling into the deep porphyry targets in the center of the Rio Grande ring structure.

Wayne Hewgill, President and CEO of Regulus comments: "We are very excited to be back drilling and testing the outstanding potential at the Rio Grande project after a 2 ½ year break. During the financial crises of 2009, Antares Minerals Inc. put the project on hold to focus its exploration funding on their world-class Haquira copper-molybdenum porphyry discovery in southern Peru, which led to the sale of Antares to First Quantum Minerals Ltd. in December 2010 and the spin-out of Antares' 50% interest in the Rio Grande project into Regulus. While earlier results from the 78 diamond drill holes on the project returned excellent results, including 189 metres grading 0.70% Cu and 0.67 g/t Au and 11 g/t Ag, we are only now anticipating completion of the first 43-101 compliant resource estimate on the property. We expect the results of the preliminary metallurgical work and the first resource estimate to be released in Q3."

To more clearly define the deep porphyry targets in the centre of the 2.2 km wide Rio Grande Ring structure, the company contracted Quantec Geoscience to complete a 10 line, Titan 24 IP / resistivity survey covering the full extent of the Rio Grande ring structure. The IP successfully outlined the contact between the oxide and transitional material and the underlying fresh volcanic rocks and the MT survey outlined a number of high priority drill targets at depth in the central area of the Rio Grande Ring structure. An additional line was added to the survey covering the Northeast Gold target located 1.6 kilometres from the eastern edge of the Rio Grande ring structure.

Regulus Outlines a Gold in Soil Anomaly on the Rio Grande Cu-Au-Ag Project in Salta Province, Argentina

WATERDOWN, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 3, 2011) - Regulus Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:REG) is pleased to announce that a soil and talus sampling program has outlined a large area of anomalous gold mineralization to the northeast of the Rio Grande ring structure in Salta Province, Argentina. The Rio Grande Cu-Au-Ag project is a 50/50 joint venture between Regulus Resources Inc. ("Regulus", REG TSX.V) and Pachamama Resources Inc. ("Pachamama") with Regulus acting as the operator.

Northeast Gold Target

The Northeast gold target is located approximately 1,500 metres to the northeast of the main Discovery and Sofia zones on the Rio Grande Cu-Au-Ag porphyry project. The greater than 50 ppb gold in soil anomaly covers an area of 1,000 by 400 metres in an area of poorly exposed, strongly potassic altered intermediate igneous rocks with magnetite and quartz-magnetite stringers. The anomaly is open to the northeast and requires additional geochemical sample lines to better define the limit of the anomaly in this area. The alteration and mineralization is similar to the nearby 1.9 million ounce Lindero gold deposit owned by Mansfield Minerals.

Figure 1 displays the location of the Northeast gold target and indicates the surface expression of the >50 ppb Au anomaly is comparable in size to the outline of Mansfield's 1.9 million ounce Lindero Gold deposit located 10 kilometres to the southeast. (Inset at lower right at the same scale). The gold geochemistry anomaly includes 95 of the samples returning over 50 ppb Au, 45 over 100 ppb Au and 15 over 200 ppb Au.

The joint venture plans to initiate additional work on the Northeast Gold target in conjunction with re-starting the exploration program on the main Rio Grande Cu-Au-Ag project. Preliminary work would include extending the soil grid to the north and east as well as extending the existing ground magnetic geophysical survey to the east. The existing ground magnetic survey covered only the western portion of the new detailed soil grid.

Wayne Hewgill, President/CEO states: "The presence of a large gold in soil anomaly 1,500 metres from the eastern edge of the main Discovery and Sofia zones on the Rio Grande Cu-Au-Ag project highlights the importance of the structural environment and subsequent mineral endowment in the Rio Grande area. With three known copper-gold and gold projects along the northwest-trending Archibarca regional structural lineament in the Rio Grande area: the Regulus/Pachamama Rio Grande project, and Mansfield's Lindero and Arizaro projects, we believe the Rio Grande project is situated within a structural environment with the potential to host significant mineral deposits."

Regional Mineral Endowment

The Rio Grande project is situated along the northwest-trending Archibarca structural lineament which also hosts the BHP Billiton's Escondida copper mine 130 kilometres to the northwest. The following image shows the relative locations of the four known areas of mineralization in the Rio Grande area including the large alteration zones associated with the Rio Grande ring structure, the Northeast gold target, the Lindero gold deposit and the Arizaro Cu-Au discovery:

Regulus and Pachamama Provide Updated Exploration Plans for the Rio Grande Cu-Au-Ag Project in Argentina

WATERDOWN, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 1, 2011) - Regulus Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:REG) is pleased to provide an update on the Rio Grande Cu-Au-Ag project in Salta Province, Argentina. The Rio Grande project is a 50/50 joint venture between Regulus Resources Inc. and Pachamama Resources Inc. (PMA TSX.V) with Regulus acting as the operator.

Wayne Hewgill, Regulus President and CEO states, "With the existing large drilling database and the programs planned for 2011, Regulus intends to aggressively move forward with evaluating the Rio Grande project. Based on the excellent drilling results to date and the potential for additional mineralization at depth, we believe that the Rio Grande project has the potential to host a significant Cu-Au-Ag resource."

2011 exploration program on Rio Grande

With a database of 78 drill holes, the joint venture is focused on re-assessing the existing data in preparation for an advanced exploration programme expected to commence in mid-March. The program is comprised of.

Metallurgical studies to understand the nature of the copper, gold and silver mineralization in a variety of oxidation states to assist in the evaluation of the results from the 2001 - 2008 drilling campaigns.
With the completion of the metallurgical work, the company expects to complete the first 43-101 resource on the project by mid-2011.
The company has recently signed a new contract to conduct a deep Titan 24 geophysical survey to define drill targets: (a) below the current known mineralized zones, and (b) to define deeper drill targets within the large, under-explored central portion of the ring structure. The geophysical program is expected to commence in mid-March.
The joint venture is also completing evaluation of a soil and talus sampling programme over the northeast gold target which is located approximately 1,500 metres to the east of the Discovery and Sofia target areas on the main Rio Grande ring structure.
Based on the information returned from the aforementioned programs, the joint venture expects to commence a drill program on Rio Grande in mid-2011.
About Rio Grande

The Rio Grande joint venture was previously operated by Antares Minerals Inc. (formerly listed as ANM TSX.V) prior to the project being spun out of Antares in December, 2010 into the newly listed Regulus as part of a Plan of Arrangement involving the acquisition of Antares by First Quantum Minerals (FM TSX.T). With the economic slowdown in 2009, Antares had chosen to focus its exploration funding on the more advanced Haquira project in southern Peru, which ultimately led to the successful expansion of the Haquira deposit into a world class Cu-Mo-Au asset and the sale of Antares to First Quantum. As a result of shifting focus to Peru in 2009, the Rio Grande project has had no exploration since late 2008.

The Rio Grande Cu-Au-Ag porphyry project is located in the high Puna of NW Argentina, 450 km by road west of the city of Salta. The project was discovered by Mansfield Minerals (MDR TSX.V) during regional prospecting in late 1999. The Rio Grande project is very favourably located along the prominent NW-trending Archibarca Lineament which also controls the location of the world-class Escondida porphyry Cu deposit (BHP-Billiton), 120 km to the west-northwest in Chile.

Cu-Au-Ag mineralization at Rio Grande occurs within a distinct 2-km diameter ring-shaped fracture zone defined by IP chargeability, as well as Cu- and Au-soil geochemical anomalies. The majority of the past drilling has focussed on the better exposed Discovery and Sofia zones, however the most recent drilling on the North and #7 zones has intersected significant mineralization. Highlights from the earlier drilling include 189 metres grading 0.70% Cu, 0.67 g/t Au and 11.1 g/t Ag. A total of 78 drill holes for 33,015 m of drilling have been completed at the Rio Grande project as of year-end 2008.

Mineralization consists of partially oxidized chalcopyrite-magnetite hosted in fractures and breccia-infillings associated with variable degrees of K-feldspar, calc-silicate (diopside, actinolite), and secondary biotite alteration. Better mineralized intervals are typically associated with crackle breccia zones which locally grade into heterolithic milled-matrix breccias. Some of the better mineralized intercepts encountered to-date are:

*Note: Copper Equivalent is calculated using the formula – CuEQ = Cu% + (Au g/t* 0.4862) +(Ag g/t*0.0077). There is no consideration for metallurgical recoveries used in this estimation.
