Argentine Exploration Update

Fri Jun 19, 2009. During May and June of 2009 the Company's 50% owned subsidiary Salta Exploraciones S.A. (SALTA) completed the planned reconnaissance drill programs on Valle Grande, Taron and a third property Guadalquivir. Two drillholes (367 metres) were completed on Valle Grande, seven drillholes (908 metres) at Taron and one drillhole at Guadalquivir (70 metres) for a program total of 1345 metres in 10 core holes. None of these prospects was subject to previous drilling.

The Company has received assays from the Valle Grande program that revealed background to anomalous levels of base metals from a flat lying polylithic conglomerate located approximately 135 metres below surface. The targeted polymetallic manganese oxide-base metal rich mineralization present as veins and breccia on surface was not encountered. The geological setting, the source of the manganese-base metal veins and breccia and possibly the gravity anomaly remain unexplained. The drill holes were each planned to a depth of 300 metres but due to difficult drilling conditions the holes reached 200 metres and 167 metres respectively and were abandoned.

Drill core from Guadalquivir and Taron is in for assay and results are expected within 30 days.

Samples of drill core from the program were handled by SALTA geologists and support staff and shipped to Acme Analytical Laboratories in Argentina for preparation. The samples are flown to Acme Analytical in Vancouver for assay.
